Traveler Bio

Szia (Hi)! My name is Nadia, and I am from New Jersey. I recently graduated from Fordham University in New York City, where I studied History and American Studies.

I love learning and traveling because of my grandparents. My grandparents lived very close to me in New Jersey when I was young. But all my grandparents grew up outside of the United States! They lived in Germany, Belgium, France, and Canada. I wanted to visit the places they told me about, and I became curious about the world around me. In college, I had the opportunity to live in France for five months and travel across Europe. I learned so much about different countries' history, culture, and food that I could not wait to share it with my friends and family back in the United States!

Now, I live in Eger, Hungary, where I am a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant at Eszterházy Károly Catholic University and Roma Szakkollégium (Roma College). Eger is a very beautiful town. I love the medieval castle and the many restaurants that serve traditional Hungarian food, like lángos and kürtőskalács. I teach Hungarian and Roma students from Hungary, but also international students from places like China, Cameroon, and Turkey. I love hearing about everyone's unique background! I can't wait to bring you along on this journey with me while I learn Hungarian and teach English.
