Annyeonghaseyo! Hello! My name is Molly and I am a 22-year-old teacher from Long Island, New York. I've always loved working with others, sharing my knowledge and learning new things from them as well. In my junior year of high school I started working with students in classrooms and found myself wanting to pursue teaching as a career. When it came time to go to college, I traveled upstate to study at Syracuse University as an Inclusive Elementary and Special Education major.
Starting in my freshman year of college, I was able to work directly with students, getting to know them and continue honing my skills as an educator. A few of the students I worked with were ones who had moved to the U.S. from various countries around the world. These students helped spark my interest in learning more about various cultures, specially in regards to education.
In my senior year I was lucky enough to be selected as a finalist for the Fulbright English Teaching Assistant Award which means I will now be traveling to South Korea and working for a year in an elementary school where I'll be helping students learn how to speak and write in English. I'm looking forward to sharing my adventures with you all and learning about your journeys as the school year goes on.
