I had the opportunity to connect with a local kids library. There, they do both book clubs for adults as well as run programming to bring books to kids who would otherwise not have access. I was recommended to this library by a friend who had worked with them in the past, and today, I was able to visit to take a look at the library that operates near my house and learn more about the work that they are doing in the community.
I will be travelling to Kerala next week for work. Kerala is a southern state which also borders the Indian Ocean. Last year, I visited a school founded by an alumni of the program that I previously participated in in Delhi. There, they have an all-girls school, and I will be there as a facilitator for their back-to-school fair.
