Interview With a Legendary Performer

It might seem a little old fashioned, but I've never had a busy laundry day and I'm not complaining."

What do you like to do in your free time?:

"In my free time, I like to practice my moves on stage with the fellows. I also give back to my community by teaching developing puppeteers how to maneuver a puppet properly. I don't travel often, but I make sure my workshop building is always a free space to play in."

What language(s) do you speak? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

"Currently, I speak Mandarin and English. In Lize, we mainly use Mandarin. In some of our shows, however, we speak a little bit of English. If you would like to say 'hello' in Mandarin, you'd say the phrase '你好 Ni-Hao.' You might have already heard that one before. It literally translates to 'you good!'"

Do you have pets?:

"I have as many pets as I have puppet masters, I often say! I don't own any animals though, no. Trying to take care of the humans is enough of a job!"

Have you traveled? Where have you traveled to?:

"I don't leave the workshop too often, but I've been all over Taiwan. Lize is a household name in the public performing arts business, so I've had the opportunity to travel all around as part of traditional Taiwanese theater plays."

What do you do for work?:

"I work several positions at the Lize Puppet Art Colony. For one, I'm one of the toughest trainers for new puppeteers. I require a team of skilled puppet masters to operate the five pegs that control my movements. I am also a star performer as well, having appeared in several of Lize's plays.
