Mikayla's Daily Life in Sitges

In Spanish, you say "Hello" by saying Hola, and "Goodbye" is Adios, and you can ask how someone is by saying Que tal? which is like saying “What’s up?” in English.

Do you have pets?:

In Colorado I have three pets! We have a dog named Luna, a very cute German Shephard Husky mix.  And two cats. The first cat is Poppy, who is super-fluffy and doesn't love people, but who does love to be brushed. When I am home, I eat breakfast and then every morning I go sit in front of our back door and brush Poppy's fur, and she LOVES it! And our second cat's name is Sally who is so funny and sweet and who loves humans and playing! Sally and Poppy play fight all the time, but they also cuddle because they’re best friends.

Have you traveled? Where have you traveled to?:

Yes I have! I have already told you guys some of the places I have been. Like my crazy trip with my roommate Arden, where we went to Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Germany, Poland and Denmark all in one week! And then this past weekend, we went to Disneyland Paris, which was so beautiful, and I had the best time there!!

What do you do for work?:

In Spain, I can’t work because I am so busy being a student, but when I am home I don’t have a solid job, either. Over the summer, I worked with my Nana at a church and helped her organize a bunch of papers and learned how to make the church better for incoming members.

Is there anything else you would like to say to students in the United States?:

I only have four weeks left in Spain, which is crazy and sad at the same time.
