Hello! I am Michael Nedd, and I am from Boulder, Colorado. I am 20 years old and currently a college sophomore. Having lived in Boulder my whole life, I grew up loving the mountains and the outdoors. Exploring new parts of the wilderness I had never seen before brought me so much excitement. As time went on, I wanted more to see, so I began traveling around the U.S. At about the same time, I developed a fascination with things that fly, and I began pursuing my passion for aviation. In high school, I wanted to become a commercial airline pilot, but I soon found out the cost and commitment were beyond what I could manage. I ultimately decided that I wanted to become an airport manager, and I am currently majoring in Aviation and Aerospace Management at Metropolitan State University of Denver. While attending college, I discovered that the ultimate opportunity to combine my two greatest interests was to study abroad.
Now, I am headed to the University of New South Wales in Sydney for a semester to continue my studies and experience what it's like to live somewhere far away from home. While in Sydney, I hope to not only gain an international perspective on topics that I am already studying back at home, but also experience how other people around the world live their everyday lives. I plan to see as much as I can during my time abroad, and I'm incredibly excited to share all my adventures with you!
