Traveler Bio

Szia! (Hello!) My name is Maurycy Pedroza, and I am 21 years old from the Southeast Side of Chicago, Illinois. Growing up in Chicago, I loved visiting the downtown area and enjoying the many great cuisines the city has to offer with my family. I am currently a junior at Iowa State University majoring in economics with a minor in data science, where I am working toward becoming a market or financial analyst. I will be spending four months studying abroad in Budapest, Hungary at Corvinus University. Thanks to receiving the Gilman Scholarship, this opportunity became possible, and I am excited to grow academically through Corvinus’s well-known economics program, experience Hungarian culture, meet new people, and travel to nearby countries - all while sharing my journey with you all!
