My program advisor told me it goes straight to our university, and it did. After that, I slowly got more comfortable. First, more trams, then buses, then the metro. Apps like Apple Maps and Google Maps help a lot, but sometimes I still hop on the wrong one and end up going the wrong way, and that's okay because it happens to everyone.
Absolutely, because of really smart city planning many decades ago, everyone (people who live in Budapest and people who visit) can explore every corner of the city easily.
The trams have been running since 1866, which is more than 150 years ago. Riding on one is like taking a little trip through history. Tram 2 is extra special because it rides right along the Danube River, with views of the Elizabeth Bridge and Chain Bridge with the Castle District in the background, and right next to the beautiful Parliament building towards the end of the route up north.
