A Visit to One of the Oldest Natural History Museums in the World

I was really interested in learning here about how scientists collect animals to study them

I think it is really important to know about the endangered and extinct creatures in this museum hall because we are losing lots of species around the world these days

The great auk, which only looks like a penguin, went extinct in 1852

The bird called the dodo, from an island in the Indian Ocean, went extinct only after Europeans started hunting it for food

This was my favorite view of the entire museum, looking down at the Grand Gallery of Evolution

By the time I got out, it was getting dark, and the old museum was lit up by lights! I'll have to return to see more another day!
