A Korean Boarding School Student's Story: Meet Jiwon

What do you like to do after school? Do you have a favorite sport or game?:

After school, I sometimes go outside and zone-out looking at the sky, then I go back to the dorm and immediately change clothes, lay out my bedding and watch YouTube haha. My favorite sport is volleyball, and I like various games - I like them all without being picky!

방과 후에는 가끔 밖을 나와서 하늘을 보며 멍 때리는데, 이제 기숙사 들어가서 바로 옷 갈아입은 뒤, 이부자리를 펴고 유튜브를 봐요 ㅎㅎ 좋아하는 스포츠는 배구를 좋아하고, 게임은 여러가지를 좋아해서 가리는 거 없이 다 좋아해요!

Who is your favorite famous person?:

As someone who really loves K-pop, if I had to pick just one group, I like a boy group called BOYNEXTDOOR!

전 K-pop을 무지무지 좋아하는 사람으로서, 딱 한 그룹을 말하자면 BOYNEXTDOOR 라는 보이그룹을 좋아합니다!

What kinds of music do you listen to?:

I mainly listen to indie, bands and K-pop!

보통 인디랑 밴드, 케이팝 위주로 들어요!

What would you like to be when you grow up?:

When I grow up!! I want to become a somewhat famous singer haha

어른이 된다면!! 전 조금 유명한 가수가 되고 싶습니다 ㅎㅎ

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?:

I want to go to Japan, and I'd also like to visit the United States! I haven't traveled abroad that much ㅠㅠ... I haven't been to many places yet... I want to visit the United States someday!!

전 일본도 가고싶고, 미국도 한번 가보고 싶어요! 해외 여행을 그렇게 많이 안 가봐서 ㅠㅠ… 아직 이곳저곳을 못 들렸거든요… 미국도 언젠간!! 가보고 싶습니다!

What do you know or think about the United States?:

I don't know much about the United States, yet, but from the outside it seems glamorous, and I often see Americans on Reels wearing clothes in unique styles haha... I want to learn more about the United States!
