I traveled about an hour and twenty minutes to the sites we were visiting for our trip. However, on a daily basis, it usually takes me about 20-25 minutes to get to school from my apartment.
The farthest I've traveled since coming to Jordan is to Wadi Rum (Valley of the Moon). Wadi Rum, is a protected area in southern Jordan near the border with Saudi Arabia. It is known for its desert landscape with massive canyons and natural stone arches. It is also home to Bedouin tribes.
It took us about four hours to get there from Amman.
I use Uber to get around. I usually pay about 3.50 JD to get to school, but generally an Uber can cost anywhere from 1-5 JD (especially at busy times).
I visited some ancient Greek, Roman and Byzantine ruins in Jerash, which were fascinating! We saw church ruins and beautiful Byzantine mosaics, as well as the temple of Zeus.
