On a recent trip to Campo Grande, I got to see a family of Capybaras pass right in front of me! This was my first time seeing them up close, and I froze as I saw them pass to enjoy the moment and not scare them off. Being prey animals and the world’s largest rodents, they are quite skittish but are generally used to the numbers of visitors they get. Brazilians and foreigners alike are big fans of the Capybaras here.
The rain has allowed a lot of the plants and green areas of the city to come alive. Many of the Jasmine trees are blooming, and I’ve been enjoying spotting them throughout the city.
