こんにちは。はじめまして、わたしはルーク・ドンリコットで24さいです。(Hello! Nice to meet you, my name is Luke Donleycott and I am 24 years old.) I grew up in Clayton, North Carolina in a rural area where I spent much of my youth outdoors in the woods with friends, riding bikes around the neighborhood, and playing video games! Growing up, I was always curious about foreign cultures and languages. Once I graduated high school, I joined the military as a linguist, where I was able to learn Spanish and Portuguese! Last year, I left the military and enrolled at the University of North Carolina Wilmington to pursue my undergraduate degree, where I also began studying Japanese as a minor. After one year of studying, I was fortunate enough to receive the Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship Language scholarship to help fund a semester abroad in Japan! Currently, I am living in Osaka, which is around the middle of the country and is one of the three biggest cities in the country! Once I graduate, I hope to come back to Japan for graduate school and engage in international research. I look forward to sharing my adventures with you all and getting to know you all as the school year continues!
よろしくおねがいします。いっしょにがんばりましょう!(Thank you for meeting me. Let's work hard together!)
