Hallo!
My name is Luciana, and I am 22 years old. I love being creative, making art, and exploring new places!
I am from New York, though I come from a Brazilian family and I lived in São Paulo, Brazil for four years when I was younger. Growing up speaking both Portuguese and English, I was always very interested in learning even more about different languages and the cultures behind them. Right now, I can also speak Spanish and German, but I want to learn as many languages as I can in the future.
I have just graduated from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, where I studied German and English. After graduating, I received a Fulbright grant to work as an English teaching assistant in Germany. This year, through my grant, I will be working at a high school in Würselen and living in the neighboring city of Aachen, which is right next to the Netherlands and Belgium. I will also be a guest student at a local university: RWTH Aachen. I am so excited to share my experiences with you all as I explore my new surroundings and meet all sorts of interesting people there!
