My Sisterchka

What do you like to do in your free time?:

In my free time I like to talk to people over a cup of tea, eat tasty food and read interesting books. My favorite book is Journey to the Center of the Earth by Jules Verne (Путешествие к Центру Земли).

I especially love watching movies. I mainly watch American movies, but also occasionally Kazakh and Russian ones. I prefer comedies and old movies. My favorite movie is an old Kazakh classic about a boy and his family, called “My Name is Kozha” (Kazakh: “Менін атым Кожа”, Russian: “Меня зовут Кожа”).

What language(s) do you speak? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

I mainly speak Russian, but I also know Kazakh and a little bit of English. “Hello” in Russian is “здравстуйте” (zdravstvujte) and “сәлеметсіз бе” (salemetsiz be) in Kazakh.

Do you have pets?:

I always wanted a dog, but unfortunately we cannot have pets because my mom is allergic. If I had a dog, though, I would probably name it Cosmos.

Have you traveled? Where have you traveled to?:

I have only been out of the country once. When I was ten, I spent a month at a summer camp in Ukraine. It was beautiful there, the weather was nice, and I had a lot of fun. We swam in the Black Sea, relaxed on the beach, spent time in nature and played a lot of games, including basketball, volleyball, chess and dodgeball. Other than that, I have traveled a little within Kazakhstan, to places like Karaganda and Kyzylorda.

What do you do for work?:

I am still training to be an eye doctor.
