Bahia is a coastal city, so the weather is quite lovely. It is typically sunny with big fluffy clouds. However, it is still a Brazilian city, so it rains often and a lot in quantity, but only for short amounts of time.
This week, I saw a little monkey riding on the top of a dog's head, a parrot, cows, local chickens, many intriguing-looking birds, fish, little mussels and many adorable stray cats and dogs.
To preface my story, this sighting happened in Manaus, not on my trip to Salvador, but it was the coolest thing I saw in nature this week. My friend and I took a tour bus around a few sites in the Amazon. Our first stop was a beautiful natural waterfall that led to a small lagoon. We spend half of the day swimming under a waterfall. It was magical!
