One man commented how a cleaner enviroment would help the animals who live here, too. I am setting an example that others can continue. It's easy to do, and helps make the world a little better place. Each time I have collected several bags of trash and improved my outlook.
Maybe you can think about what you could do because even kids can help, too. Maybe you could volunteer, collect books, food, or toys, draw pictures or visit senior centers. You could even pick up trash like I have been doing. Look for opportunites and do them with your family and friends. If we each do our part, together the impact is even bigger!
Stay Curious
Life is more fun if you stay curious and keep learning! There is always more, including new languages, new foods to try, or new conversations to have. We were just getting started! I have met women who weave grasses into beautiful baskets as their grandmothers taught them. I have also met other women, who make paper beads from discarded magazines and papers to make unique jewlery, and I met a man who wants to open a hospital to help treat children in our district, who have to currently travel far for treatment. There are so many dreams coming true, and each are making a difference in their own way.
You never know what is around the next corner! When my kids were growing up, we tried new foods from an international grocery store, restaraunt, and even recipes at home. It was a fun way to try new tastes without the travel. Additionally, you could read a book or watch a movie or video to learn about another place. There is no limit. The world is round, so keep going and keep exploring!
