Surprisingly our time together is already coming to an end. It has been great sharing my adventures in Bostwana with all of you. I hope you have learned a few things, and can stay curious about living somewhere else. The world is an amazing place, full of adventures and interesting people. Don't forget to explore your own community and meet new people in your own neighborhood, too!
Beauty is All Around
I truly live in a very beautiful place, full of wildlife and plants that I have never seen before. I have frequently found more than 25 different things blooming at the same time, each unique and special. I have included a few photos. The birds here sing different songs, and I am reminded that beauty is truly all around us. We are heading into winter here in Botswana, but life and the flowers keep blooming.
Making a Difference
I also believe wherever you are, you can make a difference. You don't have to go to the other side of the world to help. One of the projects I have been working on this year is picking up trash for an hour every week. It is a small effort, but it has an impact. Several people have asked about what I am doing. I have even had kids join in.
