¡Hola chicos (Hello guys)! My name is Leah and I am excited to share my adventure with you this fall. I grew up in Platteville, Wisconsin, about 30 minutes away from the Iowa/Wisconsin border, and I still live there today. I go to college at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and study Spanish Education. That means I’m learning how to be a teacher and how to help students (like you!) learn languages. I also study English Education and how to teach English to people from around the world. In Platteville, I love to spend time with my dad and my younger sister. I am an identical twin, but my sister moved away to go to college. We still see each other every month though! Growing up, I played soccer for 14 years. Soccer is the way I connect with my community, and I coach at our local high school and for our soccer club. When I'm not studying, I love to travel, watch Disney movies, create yarn paintings (a Mexican art form), and spend time with my friends.
This fall I am living in Mendoza, Argentina, and I am so excited to share stories with you about the people I meet, the food I try, the adventures I go on, and the places I visit! I am also looking forward to learning about what you love to do during our Zoom calls! ¡Viva (long live) Argentina!
