A Day in the Life of Iris

What language(s) do you speak? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

I speak Cantonese, Mandarin and English. Even in Cantonese, people most often say "hi" or "hello" in English. In Cantonese, "Hello" is Nei Ho and in Mandarin it is Ni Hao. In both Cantonese and Mandarin, "Hello" is written as 你好, but it is pronounced differently.

Do you have pets?:

I wish! I would like to have cats, but my mother does not want them. She says that they are dirty and can make the house messy.

Have you traveled? Where have you traveled to?:

Yes! I have been to Norway, the United Kingdom, South Korea and more. My favorite place to visit is Norway.

What do you do for work?:

I am the executive assistant at the ASLLC!

Is there anything else you would like to say to students in the United States?:

Work hard! Jiā yóu or Gaa1 yau4 (加油), which means "fighting!" It's another way to say work hard.
