Did I Mention I Like Trains?

I will put on peaceful music and just watch as different towns and fields pass by. Mostly I pass fields and farms. Cattle and sheep are quite common in Hungary and the most common crops are wheat and corn, which make for stunning views of farmland. By looking out the window, I am reminded that there is so much more than just the city I live in. By passing smaller towns, I see a different side to Hungary. While the city has parks and nature, it is nothing like seeing rolling hills and forests that go on for miles. Trains are a way to keep smaller towns connected to Budapest. That way, even if you don’t have a car, you can either go and get resources from the city or escape the city for a more natural environment. I love this blend and it mirrors the way Hungary prizes both its modernism and traditional values. Both are vital to the country, just as having both a city and countryside is vital. And trains are the cords that tie these two things together.
