Our News

That means I literally write anything I that comes through my head, what my plans are, how I'm feeling, and ideas for projects. I also have other exercises I do as well that get me writing and brainstorming about being creative.

What games or sports did I play this week?:

It's not an official game, but on my walk with my Fulbright friends, we played in the leaves with Jackie's dog Meeko. She liked it when we tossed leaves up or kicked them around. It became a fun game for all of us. Meeko is a herding dog which means she was bred to contain and take care of animals. So when we go on walk with her, she like to circle us to make sure we all stay together.

Other news from this week:

One of my research objectives for studying monsters is to visit as many museums as possible. This week I visited the Museum of Ethnography in Budapest, Hungary. This museum focuses on the folk craft, tools, clothing and artwork from both Hungary and around the world. It is important to my research because folk art often depicts monsters or characters from folklore and mythology. By studying and recording the monsters depicted in folk art, I am able to better understand a culture's relationship to their monsters. Is it something that the fear and warn against or is it more respected and valued? I also just like visiting museums and seeing exhibits. I could have spent hours in this museum and I will probably return in the future.
