What music did I listen to this week?:

Before I left for Hungary, I watched the movie The Ballad of Wallis Island with my mom, which is about two fictional folk singers. However, they made an actual album for it and I have been listening to it regularly. It talks about missing loved once and it is very sweet and sentimental. I also like to listen to movie soundtracks when I travel and explore. I have made a fall playlist of music that makes me feel like I am wandering an enchanted forest or mysterious town. I like feeling like I am the main character in a movie, experiencing little moments of whimsy and wonder.

What activity was the most fun this week?:

The most fun activity I did was probably giving my monster presentation in Pécs. I did three back-to-back presentations on American monsters, also called cryptids. You maybe familiar with Bigfoot or Mothman. I also talked about global monsters such as the Yeti (a creature similar to Bigfoot that haunts the Himalayan mountains in Asia) and the Loch Ness Monster in Scotland (a giant sea creature rumored to live in the water). The students were all high school aged and we did a few round of "Would You Rather" with monsters. I asked them if they would rather swim with the Loch Ness monster or with the Kraken (a giant squid). It was very fun to hear their opinions and to get to know them more.

What did I read this week?:

I am currently reading The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron. It is a guide/course book designed to help oneself tap into their creative energy. Every day I journal 3 full pages of stream of consciousness.
