In Haymarket, there were at least three large arcades within a five minute walk of one another. I expected to see more children, but I saw mostly teenagers and college-aged students enjoying the games. I was surprised to be able to win not only one but two stuffed toys during my visit.
I visited the Art Gallery of New South Wales to see some Australian made art. It was wonderful to spend time at one of the largest art museums in the country. I was especially excited to see some of the beautiful art that was made by people of the indigenous communities in Australia. One of my favorite pieces was a print of a digitally drawn series depicting young indigenous boys in mordern clothing, showing how indigenous peoples are still living in the country today, still holding a presence.
