One of the New Seven Natural Wonders of the World

In order to preserve national parks, it's important that we recognize that increased visitations and tourism cause potentially high threats to the exotic nature and wildlife. I felt lucky to see this incredible place, but I also realize that I need to make careful decisions about which parts of the world that I visit. Since 2010 many social media platforms have encouraged tourism in places that are worth visiting. It's awesome that more diverse populations of people are traveling and going on adventure trips to see iconic natural phenomena. At the same time, I strongly believe that it's better to travel to places with the honest intention to study them more in depth.  I think the biggest challenge for people living in this particular environment is working with tourists to conserve the natural beauty and the ecosystem that contains it. The locals with their historic legends on the waterfall truly inspired me. They must have so much to pride to live in such an amazing place in the world!

How have people been adapting to this environment?:

Because many people are drawn to this natural area, humans often come in contact with the local wildlife. One of my favorite animals was the South American Coatis. Maybe think of the coatis as a South American racoon that isn't nocturnal. We were warned that although these animals were cute and appeared cuddly, "DO NOT TRY TO FEED THEM." There were drawings of possible injuries that some people would encounter if they did not listen to the rules. The animals live both on the ground and in the trees, and there were dozens of large families with cute babies running around as you walked the trail of the national park.
