I got to study here thanks to the Gilman Scholarship, which is a payment made to students to help them reach their educational goals, specifically when studying internationally. I gained so much useful knowledge and experience by going to school abroad, and you all can do the same! I have asked many questions while in Ireland, and I have learned that it is a good thing. It is how we all can learn together!
If you get the chance to go to college one day when you grow up, make sure to ask your advisor or teachers about opportunities to study internationally; especially about resources like the Gilman Scholarship!
My time studying in Limerick, Ireland has been filled with so many cool moments and memories! I got to travel a bunch and visit places like Spain, Paris, London and Morocco, a country in Africa! Over the semester, I got to try new foods, learn new words. I am also so grateful that I got to meet people from all over the world. Two of my best friends here are from Canada and I would have never met them if we didn’t all come to study here together! I also got to learn what it is like to be a student on the other side of the world and compare how it is different from being a student back at home in the U.S.
Thank you, students and Mrs. Stimac, for dedicating your time and interest in my journey. I have loved writing these articles for you all and sharing my experiences because each article helped me relive all the wonderful moments. Thank you for all your great questions. I learned so much from you all, too! I loved sharing my time in Limerick and across Europe as I traveled this spring! I hope you have a great end of fourth grade and an amazing summer break!
