Nature News

Those countries are Egypt, Sudan, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Burundi and DRC.  Many African people, called Nilotics, have migrated across the African continent through the Nile River to arrive in new countries.

Other Nature News from this week:

While driving back from Uganda to Rwanda, we stopped at the equator! It was really cool to step into the Northern Hemisphere in Uganda and back into the Southern Hemisphere in Rwanda. The equator cuts across 13 countries in the world--those are Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil (in South America), Sao Tome & Principe, Gabon, DRC, Uganda, Kenya, Somalia (in Africa), Maldives, Indonesia (in Asia), and Kiribati (an island in Oceania). The closest equator line to you in Kentucky is in the state of Hawaii which I know is not very close at all.
