Our News

I had such a great time learning about the city that the following day I went on a graffiti art tour! This tour specifically focused on the beautiful graffiti that can be found along the walls of the city and the meaning behind the art.

What did I read this week?:

I read my map! I didn't want to waste any time, so I used my map to make getting from place to place as quick and easy as possible.

What games or sports did I play this week?:

I didn't play any games this week, but I did watch a beautiful, traditional dance, called cumbia, in one of the main plazas.

Other news from this week:

I also had the opportunity to visit a place called Iglesia de San Pedro Claver (Church of Saint Peter Claver), which was once a Jesuit church, but has now been turned into a museum to honor Saint Peter Claver. Peter Claver dedicated his life to protecting the slaves that were brought to Cartagena in the 17th century. The museum was really interesting, and I'm glad I had the chance to learn more about such a great man!
