This week, I traveled about two miles from my apartment when I went to Park Güell. I used the metro (subway) to get to my destination. The metro is much more convenient than walking. When we go to the beach, we walk about twenty minutes, or about one mile to get there.
In September, I went to Munich, Germany for Oktoberfest. Oktoberfest is a traditional German holiday which spans about four weeks from September to October each year. It was created to celebrate a wedding between a royal couple in the 1800s. Today the German people still celebrate this holiday. Munich is about 850 miles from Barcelona, or about the same distance from New York City to Atlanta, Georgia. I used a plane to travel between these two places, as well as to travel to Europe in the first place, of course!
I used the bus from my company to get to work. Each morning, I walk to the bus stop and get picked up at 6:40 a.m. The bus takes me to work at about 7:40 a.m. After work, I take the bus that comes at around 4:45 p.m. and get home at 6:00 p.m. To get to restaurants, I used the metro in the city.
