Zooplankton are some of the smallest animals in the ocean; they look like tiny bugs that live in the sea! To help the lab’s research, I’m sorting samples of zooplankton from Antarctica into different types.
I’m reading a book called “An Inconvenience of Penguins”. The man who wrote this book went on a journey to go see all 18 species of penguins in the wild! There are 18 species, or types, of penguins in the world. These birds live in some of the most remote places on the planet. Have you ever seen a penguin?
I went to go see a “footy” game this week! Tasmania has a professional football team called The Devils. Football (called "Australian rules") in Tasmania is different to football in Massachusetts. Football here is kind of like rugby. Instead of throwing the ball to each other, sometimes they kick it. It’s a unique game that I’d never seen before.
I had my first test for one of my classes! It was scary to take a test in a brand new school. I didn’t know what to expect or how hard the test would be. I think it went well.
