Sometimes monkeys will bite, but it's not because they want to eat humans—it's simply because they are scared and hungry]. Humans, therefore, must act responsibly around monkeys, by not fighting back when attacked for food, for instance!
Unfortunately, people harm these creatures. In my town, monkeys often appear on the side of the road (especially when they are hungry). Sometimes when they try to cross the road, they are tragically hit by cars]. This happens frequently at night.
Additionally, these monkeys are losing their habitats throughout Malaysia. They are often viewed as pests, and developers are clearing the forests and jungles where the monkeys live to make new structures for people.
