Hey there, I'm Josie! I grew up in New Jersey, in a town with farms, forests, and lots of deer. I loved walking around the nearby nature preserve, especially in the fall when all the leaves are colorful.
For college, I went to MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to study computer science. I wanted to use computers to learn more about the brain, especially how we think and learn. I even had monkeys play games so I could compare their learning with human learning!
This year, I am traveling to Switzerland under the U.S. Fulbright program to continue my work with computers and the brain. With AI becoming a big part of our lives, we hope to use AI to discover more about how we learn and use what we learn about human thinking to inspire new ways of building AI.
I am excited to meet you all and share my journey with you!
