Cocinando en Mexico, Cooking in Mexico

A chef from the culinary school at my university demonstrated how to cook mole blanco, tacos al pastor, and hot chocolate.
My cooking partners. We had a great time cooking together!
The mole blanco is cooking and the water for the hot chocolate is boiling.
"Bate bate chocolate. Mix your chocolate, chocolate. Bate bate chocolate"- Dora the Explorer. As I was mixing the hot chocolate I was singing the song from Dora the Explorer in my head that I remembered from when I was little.
This type of mole is called "mole blanco". Chicken is topped with a sauce made with nuts, sunflower seeds, chilies, white chocolate chips, raisins, and milk.
Tacos al pastor are pork tacos. The pork is marinated with chilies, spices, pineapple juice, lime juice, onion, and achiote. Tacos al pastor are a popular street food here in Mexico.
The finished product! Tacos al pastor are topped with cilantro, onion, salsa, pineapple, and lime.
I couldn't wait to try my taco! It was delicious!!
