Visiting My Citi Local Host in Tel Aviv

Introduction:

So far I've showed you what life in Israel is like from my perspective. To learn more about what life is like here, I had the opportunity to meet an employee at Citi, a global corporation that has an office in Tel Aviv. I learned so much during our meeting, and I would love to share everything with all of you!

Let me introduce you to Avner Ashkenazy. I met this wonderful global mentor through the Reach the World - Citi Local Host Program. He was kind enough to let me interview him and to show me what a day in the life of a Citi professional is like in Tel Aviv, Israel. Read on to learn what he shared with me during our meeting!

A little sidenote: Hebrew can be written two different ways. There is Hebrew in print, and Hebrew in script. Hebrew in print is used for signs or newspapers in Israel. For handwriting, though, people typically use script. That is what I used to write Avner's name. The letters are quite different from each other in print and script. It's almost as if there are two alphabets in Hebrew!

What is your full name?:

My full name is Avner Ashkenazy.

Where do you live? What is your house like?:

Before my family grew, I used to live in Tel Aviv. I now live in Ra'anana, a city 20 kilometers north of Tel Aviv. I live in an apartment with a small garden outside.
