Dobrý den (Hello)! My name is Jenna Crowley. I am 22 years old and from Hamburg, New York. Growing up in Hamburg, I enjoyed the close-knit community in my hometown and visiting beaches on Lake Erie. I attended college at SUNY Geneseo in Geneseo, New York, where I studied Childhood and Special Education. From my studies in education and experiences in the classroom through practicum, student teaching, and substitute teaching, I developed a strong passion for teaching.
I decided to apply for an English Teaching Assistant position in the Czech Republic through the U.S. Fulbright Program to improve my teaching abilities, expand my worldly knowledge, and improve my cultural responsiveness. I am delighted to have received this opportunity and am enjoying experiencing a new location and culture.
I am living and teaching at a vocational highschool in Slavkov u Brna, which is located in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. I am so to increase cross-cultural awareness by sharing my experiences with you all, and am excited to be connected with a school in my home country!
