Chugging through tunnels and through the countryside, I saw vibrant green from the windows of the train.
This week, I witnessed the beginning of Japan's sakura season, a short time in spring when the world-famous pink and white sakura blossoms can be seen. Everywhere, tourists and locals gather to take photos and spend time together under the blooms.
