What main languages are spoken here?:

A different dialect of Korean called Jeju is spoken at Jeju Island! While 10,000 people still speak in the Jeju dialect, they are all over 60 years old. This means that the dialect may disappear in the future, unless they teach more young people.

What type of money is used here?:

Jeju Island utililizes the Korean won, just like in Seoul!

A bottle of water costs 700 KRW.

What was the best meal this week?:

I tried a Jeju Island delicacy called hairtail fish (galchi jorim). When the fish is caught, it is hard to keep fresh for long, making the island the perfect place to eat it right away.

What music did I listen to this week?:

This week I listened to artists named Clairo, SZA, and Frank Ocean.

I also enjoyed the variety of music on Jeju Island, ranging from traditional music to K-pop to American rap music.

What activity was the most fun this week?:

I had the most fun jet skiing with my friends! The boat driver took boat riding to the extreme with many twists and turns.

What did I read this week?:

This week I practiced reading Korean from one of my Korean textbooks.
