Traveler Bio

¡Hola amigos (Hi friends)!

My name is Jada, and I am 20 years old, currently studying Radiation Therapy and Spanish in Madrid, Spain at Saint Louis University - Madrid! A little about me is that I was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, to Filipino immigrants. Growing up, I was raised in two different cultures. One was my American roots, where I learned to value the freedom to be authentically myself, work hard for my own ambitions, and get the chance to visit National Parks! My Filipino roots taught me the importance of community, a deep respect for my elders, and to always consider others before myself. With those two identities a part of me, I know how important it is to learn more about different cultures. Now that I'm in Spain, I get the chance to immerse myself in another culture, challenge myself in a new place, and meet new people!

Right now in college, I love learning about medical science and have a dream to become a physician assistant. My goal is to practice my Spanish-speaking skills here in medical settings, so I can be ready to help Spanish-speaking patients back in the United States! I want you all to know that nothing is out of your reach, and you can do anything you put your mind to! If you have a dream, you have the power to make it come to life!

I can't wait to travel with you all and experience adventures together! ¡Hasta pronto! (See you soon!)
