Different Perspectives

Even when these students graduate from college, they still continue to live at home. I found that many of these young people do not leave their homes until they get married! In America, most of my friends continue to live with friends or by themselves in another city once they have finished their studies at school. However, one of the nice parts about the Paraguayan tradition is that families are much closer and seem to spend more time together. Every Sunday, Paraguayans spend the whole day at their home. They normally have a large asado lunch around 2 PM in the afternoon and then spend time talking with their family. This was very different for me, since I am not used to this tradition in the United States. Although I am not used to it, I think that is very nice to see how much time families spend together here in Paraguay! It is a great way to relax after a long week of school or work.
