How I Get Around

Introduction:

Transportation is an important part of our daily lives, whether we realize it or not. Transportation can be anything from walking, running, or biking to driving your car to school everyday. In Mexico, transportation is also very important because it allows people to get to work, school, and back home. Here in Mexico however, methods of transportation differ and it's important to get to know how people get around, so I can adapt and learn as well! In this article you will get to know Mexico through my experince using their different methods of transportation!

How do people get around?:

In Mexico, there are many ways to get around! People use taxis, buses, their personal vehicles and they also walk places. Since living here, walking has been my primary method of transportation because I live in a smaller town where everything is very close! In Atlacomulco, I can get to the bank, the grocery stores, and the bus terminal within 15 to 30 minutes which is very convienient. To get to work, I often have to travel to other towns, so the teachers I work with give me rides to and from the different schools, which is super nice of them.

To travel outside outside of Atlacomulco, I use the bus! I have traveled to Mexico City a few times using the bus and it's only 20 dollars round trip! Within bigger cities like Mexico City, I can use Ubers or the metro to get around, too.
