What main languages are spoken here?:

In Galicia, there are two main languages: castellano and gallego. Although both descend from Latin, they are significantly different and not mutually intelligible.  In fact, some Galician speakers have trouble conjugating verbs in Spanish, just like me! Take a look at the following examples:

¡Hola! Soy Harrison y yo hablo castellano. // Ola! Son Harrison e eu falo galego.

What type of money is used here?:

The currency in Spain is the euro. It’s the same kind of money used by most of the European Union. As of today, October 18, one euro is worth about 1.12 dollars. Any country that uses it is said to be part of the “eurozone.” If I traveled to Italy or France, for example, I wouldn’t have to convert any cash. What other countries are part of the eurozone?

How much does a bottle of water cost?:

Pues, depende. Depende de la marca del agua y dónde la compras. Por ejemplo, mi agua preferida, Cabreiroá, vale 53 céntimos al litro en el supermercado al lado de mi casa. Pero en un bar o restaurante, la misma botella puede costar un o dos euros.
