Can you believe this is my second-to-last journal I'll be writing to all of you? As I'm typing this, I have 11 days left in London. Time flies when you're traveling the world! This semester, I've gotten to see so many cool places and cities outside of the U.K., but for our final entries, I want to bring my story back home to my daily life in London.
A lot of you have asked in your letters about my classes and what I do as a theatre major, and with finals coming up, I've got plenty of special projects to describe to you. As a theatre major, "finals" look a little different than those in your average class, but I think they're also way more fun. For example, for my Playwriting final, I'm writing half of a play, and for Stage Combat, I'm performing a whole choreographed fight. For my Acting For The Camera class, I'm making a short film, and for one scene I got to dress up in a Santa costume! We filmed in a park, and so many kids thought I was really Santa, not realizing the real Santa is way too busy to leave the North Pole this time of year. My Devised Theatre class is all about making theatre based on movement and improv, and my friends and I have spent all semester creating material for our final show.
