We made so many scenes this semester that our final show is over an hour long!
I haven't left the country since I visited Ireland, but exploring near London is just as interesting. London has a wide range of street markets that I've been exploring over the past few weekends. My favorite by far was the Colombia Road Flower Market, which had tons of tents selling flowers and vintage clothes. London has so much history in it that you don't even have to try to find cool places! Every building is so different from the others, and you pass historical places like Baker Street even as you sit on the Tube. My favorite buildings here, such as Horizon 22 and the Barbican Centre, are all places I found while wandering the city.
I've gone on some amazing day trips recently, too! My friends and I took a day trip to Stratford-upon-Avon, which is the town where Shakespeare was born, and I got to take a tour around the world's best Shakespeare theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company! This weekend, we took a bus ride to see the old Roman city of Bath, which is entirely made out of limestone and still has bathhouses that the Romans built thousands of years ago. On the way back, we got to visit Stonehenge! I was not as excited by my visit as I thought I would be, because it gets played up and talked about so often, but I still felt amazed to visit one of the biggest mysteries in the world. How do you think Stonehenge came to be?
I plan to make the most of my last days here, between exploring the city, seeing shows and hanging out with my friends that live in different places than I do. Lesson for the week: never stop exploring, and soak up every moment!
