Hi everyone! My name is Halia, and I’m a college student from Arkansas! Right now, I’m on one of the biggest adventures of my life: traveling around the world with Semester at Sea!
Instead of going to school in a normal classroom this semester, I’m taking my college classes on a SHIP! We sail from country to country, and when we arrive somewhere new, I get to explore, learn about different cultures, meet new people, try new foods, and see what everyday life is like in different parts of the world.
Back home, I study Exercise Science because I hope to become a physical therapist one day. I love helping people, traveling, being outdoors, meeting new friends, and trying things I’ve never done before.
One of my favorite questions to ask myself is, “What if I take the chance?” That question is actually a big reason I decided to go on this adventure! Sometimes trying something new can feel a little scary, but it can also lead to some of the coolest experiences.
I’m SO excited that I get to share my journey with you! I’ll be showing you some of the places I visit, things I learn, foods I try, and adventures I have along the way. I hope you’ll ask me lots of questions, because I want you to feel like you’re traveling around the world with me!
