My roughly four months in Australia is almost over and it's shocking to see how quickly the time has flown by. My time in Sydney has given me the opportunity to explore new cultures, foods, and experiences and has pushed me out of my comfort zone greatly. I would say proudly that my first time travelling out of the United States was a success and gave me the space to grow in ways I wouldn’t have imagined.

I am so grateful to have been able to finally travel outside of the United States, which is something I have dreamed of doing for a long time. I don’t believe that this would be possible without the care and support of the Gilman Scholarship, Wellesley College’s Office of International Study, my family, the friends I have made at the University of Sydney and my friends back home. All of the support I have been given allowed me to not only focus on my studies, but to also enjoy my time in Australia to the absolute most. Now, as I am getting ready to return back to Texas in two weeks, I am ready to share my experience with my classmates, family and friends.

I hope you guys have enjoyed following my time in Sydney and helping me make memories that I will cherish even when I return to Massachusetts next semester.
