The furthest I traveled was to another neighborhood I had yet to visit.
So far, I have stayed in Lusaka. Since I am settled into my new home, I hope to venture out further soon. I did venture to a different neighborhood in the Chipata area to visit Uncle D’s shop, a tailor and dress maker.
To get around this week, I primarily used taxis. There are many ways to book a ride including calling a car service or using an app!
The most interesting place I visited this week was the St. Patrick's Day celebration. I was surprised to see so many Zambians who celebrated the holiday. There was a mixed crowd of people there as well and it was the most diverse crowd I have seen since my time here in Lusaka.
My housemate and I are planning a trip to Victoria Falls. We hope to go soon as it is best to go during rainy season when the water levels are high. Victoria Falls borders Zimbabwe. We are really excited as it is one of the world's largest waterfalls.
