Hi, travelers! My name is Gabe, and I'm from Seattle, Washington. I love to travel, and I'm very lucky to get to explore the world as part of my job at Ricks Steves Europe. When I'm not hosting a weekly live program called Monday Night Travel, you'll find me writing articles about travel and the many special places I learn about through my job. Before this, I was a Spanish teacher, and before Seattle, I lived in several places around the world, including York, England; Oviedo, Spain; and Castres, France!
Do you want to come on one of my adventures with me? I'm getting ready to fly to Rome, Italy, to explore a number of fascinating Italian cities, traditions, and--of course--foods. From Rome to Pugia to Matera and back up to the Amalfi Coast and Naples, there's so much history and culture to discover. Along the way, I'll be investigating my surroundings for you, looking for answers to your questions about Italy and reporting what I find during live video calls with your classroom.
