The coolest thing I saw in nature this week was the day when the river trail by my room stopped flooding. For a whole week, a portion of the trail was all underwater and I couldn't even walk there. The river had flowed directly onto the land because of how much it had rained the week before. Then, slowly, the river seeped back into its original flow, and I could walk on the trail once more. The land was all muddy, though, and I had to jump across the puddles.
It is becoming fall here! Some of the leaves are turning yellow and brown and falling onto the ground, and it feels as though I'm walking on a crunchy salad.
