They are willing to help, which keeps me enthusiastic and motivated to learn, no matter how difficult the language is. I'll continue learning Serbian when I return home because I love a good challenge! I hope that one day, I can read books and poems in this language, and maybe even write my own. During my time abroad, I have taught English to university students, started a creative writing club, attended conversation classes and traveled to Serbia's neighboring countries. These include Croatia, Bosnia, Herzegovina, Hungary and Bulgaria! My program, Fulbright, pays people to teach English or research in almost every country. This is an amazing way to experience another culture and travel the world, plus you get to make many new friends. I know that when I return to Serbia, I have a community living here to welcome me back. I recommend applying to the Fulbright program when you're older or exploring other programs that let you study or teach English abroad.
You are all such motivated and creative students, and I am confident that your curiosity will take you far and wide in this world. Please keep your excitement for learning about other cultures, and continue sharing the incredible mythology and stories from Hawai'i!
