The bravest thing you can do is learn. One of the most important things you can do is ask questions to learn about differences in the world. Adventures can be found in books, in classrooms, in sports and in families. Look around your classroom. Your classmates all have different backgrounds, families, traditions, languages and interests. Let’s start there! How are our lives similar? How are they different? What can we teach one another?
And just maybe each day, you can push yourself, ever so slightly, to learn more. Maybe you go to university in a new city, maybe even a new country. Maybe you will join a sports team and be brave enough to make friends there. I certainly know you can.
There is so much of the world to learn about and appreciate- whether you do it in conversation, books, school, travel or by making new friends. The world is BIG! And I can’t wait to see how you choose to explore it!
